Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean Discounts

As the winter season begins to draw to a close, several charter yachts are offering last-minute booking discounts. I've received three such offer notices in the past two days alone for yachts based in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and even Bermuda (an unusual location for crewed charter yachts).
The yacht being made available in Bermuda is Balaju, a 145-foot Intermarine motoryacht run by longtime charter captain David Linebaugh. (That's Balaju's sky lounge in the photo at right.) Management house Edmiston and Company tells me the owner is repositioning Balaju from the Caribbean to Bermuda and wants to get a few charters booked while there, so is extending the yacht's special three-day base rate of $15,000 from April 23 through May 17.
Meanwhile, management company Churchill Yacht Partners tells me that the 154-foot Perini Navi sailing yacht Andromeda la Dea is offering a reduced weekly base rate of $115,000 for the remainder of the Caribbean season. Also, the 121-foot Crescent motoryacht Olga is offering eight days for the price of seven for the rest of the Bahamas season. Olga's weekly base rate is $70,000 (and the owner just added a three-seat Wave Runner to the yacht's toy box).
Last but not least, management company Nicholson Yachts sends word that the 64-foot Hinckley sailing yacht Gadget has reduced its weekly base rates for the remainder of the Caribbean season. The new base rates are $14,900 to $16,900 for two to six guests.
I've been aboard all three of these yachts in the past couple of years and had a favorable impression not only of the boats themselves, but also of each crew. Most recently, in December, I enjoyed a buffet luncheon prepared by chef Gisele Lannamann aboard Gadget that made me believe she is one of the best chefs in Gadget's size and price range.
